copy of Cupressus '' GoldCrest Wilma '' Vase 17cm
Generalities of the Cupressus GoldCrest plant:
The Cypress Goldcrest is an evergreen shrub characterized by a conical posture, with age the base widens, and is equipped with dense and erect branches. The main feature of this variety is its fantastic evergreen, bright golden yellow leaves. The most pleasant feature is that if you rub them with your hands, they release a pleasant lemon smell. These are extremely hardy plants that withstand cold or drought. They love full sun but can also live in partial shade, losing some of the intensity of the color of the foliage. However, avoid water stagnation.

Generalities of the Cupressus GoldCrest plant :
The Cupressus macrocarpa 'Goldcrest' plant belongs to the Cupressaceae family and is of the arboreal type. The plant has a not too high height, it is between 1.7 and 2.5 meters, the expansion ranges from 1.5 to 2.2 meters. It takes on average 10-20 years to reach its maximum vigor. The cultivar has persistent type leaves. It is an evergreen shrub characterized by a narrow conical posture when young, with age the base widens, and has dense and erect branches, a reddish-brown stem, very resinous. The main characteristic of this variety is its fantastic evergreen leaves of a bright golden yellow color, in spring the brightest yellow among the conifers; in autumn it takes on intense orange shades; the most pleasant feature is that if you rub them with your hands, they release a pleasant lemon smell. Its root system develops as rapidly as the crown; for this reason they are plants suitable to be grown as single specimens, or in colored hedges; they are also used in borders or in mixed borders, the most successful is when planted in a context of dark green trees or shrubs, or when used in contrast with red and purple foliage. Cupressus goldcrest is resistant to both urban pollution and sea salinity.
Cupressus GoldCrest Plant Care and Cultivation:
The Cypress Goldcrest are extremely rustic plants. They endure cold or drought with stubbornness. They love full sun but can also live in partial shade, losing some of the intensity of the color of the foliage. However, avoid water stagnation and fertilize at least once a year with organic fertilizer or compost. Although resistant to cold, we recommend covering the soil with pieces of bark or other material to protect it from the harsh winter temperatures while in summer to protect it from excessive heat by keeping the soil moist and to avoid the growth of weeds between a watering and the other let the soil dry out - water stagnation causes rot.
