The Azzeruolo plant is quite rustic and manages to vegetate without too many problems in almost all conditions. As for the soil, the Azzeruolo requires an average fertile substrate, not compact and free of water stagnation. The pH tolerated by the plant ranges from 6.8 to 8.5, therefore from neutral to sub-alkaline. Irrigation operations are almost completely neglected.
