Generalities of the Crategus plant:
The Crategus plant includes about two hundred species of trees and shrubs.They have an upright habit and produce a disordered crown, the shrubs reach 3-4 meters in height, the trees reach a maximum height of 6-8 meters. The leaves are dark green, oval, shiny, slightly leathery. In spring it produces small, five-petalled flowers, white or pink in color. In summer, the flowers are followed by oval, red berries, which generally remain on the plant throughout the winter. The fruits are edible, and can be used to make jams. Crategus plants prefer sunny or semi-shady positions; most of the species do not fear the cold.

Generalities of the Crategus plant:
Hawthorn, also commonly called crataegus, is a thorny tree native to Europe that can reach a maximum height of eight meters and a diameter of one and a half to five meters. There are numerous varieties of this species, including pink flowers, resulting from the crossing of this species with another, the Monogyna. The leaves of the hawthorn have an obovate shape of light green color while the flowers appear white gathered in corymbs; the flowering period is May while during the autumn season the hawthorn produces ovoid fruits with a bright red color when they reach maximum ripeness. As far as exposure is concerned, crataegus oxyacantha can grow in full sun but can tolerate even partial shade well. This is why it is also suitable for gardens that are not affected by the sun's rays all day long.
